07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

2. Each time you get to a town you want to eat at, look up restaurants near you. You can often check their menus online first with prices and look at reviews on google, yelp, and trip advisor.

Try an app called urbanspoon. I think you can search by price point. My husband, is cheap and wont eat at either applebees or chili's. He says theyre both too expensive with ####### food. Lol.

That doesnt mean we dont eat at chain restaurants, because we do, but overtime ive found, at least here, the local places are much better.
