Hello! Welcome to VJ! First, you should read the guides and the Visa FAQ pages of this website. If you follow the guides carefully, you should have no problem doing the K-1 on your own. If you anticipate any legal problems that may affect your petition for your fiance's visa, you may want to seek legal advice from a qualified immigration attorney. I would seriously familiarize yourself with everything pertaining to apply for a K-1 visa and you should do fine! Good luck! :thumbs:

05/09/2011 - Case Status Notification - In line for interview and testing

05/10/2011 - Case Status Notification - Interview scheduled

05/14/2011 - Interview Appointment Letter in the mail

06/21/2011 - Interview Appointment Date

06/29/2011 - Case Status Notification - Placed in the oath scheduling que

08/16/2011 - Case Status Notification - Oath ceremony scheduled

09/15/2011 - Oath Taking - good riddance!

09/23/2011 - Applied for Passport

10/08/2011 - Passport in the mail

10/17/2011 - Certificate of Naturalization in the mail -- OFFICIALLY DONE!

As stated..read the guides.. you'll see the links at the top of the page.. Sample Forms..Embassy (which you should look at and remember to go back to as a reference)... there is also a Regional forum.. I made a link (below) for Middle East/Northern Africa.. Just explore..read a lot.. take it step by step, don't try to learn it all, all at once..cause you're head will hurt.. ;)

It'll feel overwhelming at first..just keep reading, then re-reading..then just start your process...learn as your case progresses through the system (may as well, since you'll have a lot of waiting at first...)

hello...im in same situation..me and my fiance are getting started now with visa..just read the guides and visa faq and u will find there alot of help..i did the same. good luck to your visa!!!
