My husband and I have been all thru the immigration process from CR1 to citizenship. My brother in law is a 2016 DV lottery winner. He is married and together they have one child. My question is how much does he have to pay before the interview? Is there a fee per person? I understand he needs to have a physical and passport photos taken of everyone but is there an immigration fee for his wife and child. I think I read somewhere that it was $330 per person, non refundable if they didn't pass the interview fee. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it's $330 per person, non-refundable ( and a further $165 per person green card fee if they get visas, to be paid later online).

May I respectfully suggest your brother in law very carefully reads the instructions linked from his selection letter (on the dvselectee pages of travel.state.gov ) The fee information is in there https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/diversity-visa/interview/prepare-for-the-interview.html so I am a little concerned that if that was missed other important info may be missed. If he is DV2016 and they haven't interviewed yet they do not have much time to sort any issues out if they are placed on AP.

Thanks for the responses. I'm sure my BIL knows what he's doing but since I don't talk with him about these things (hubby does) I just wanted to have the information. I was having a difficult time finding what I was looking for. The links you both left me helped a lot. Thanks again
