Philippine Embassy: Should US Petitioner Attend K1 Interview?

Hi all. I'm just wondering if my US citizen fiance should plan on attending our K1 visa interview at the Philippine Embassy? He has a full-time job and can't quite easily pack up and leave, so we would need time to plan and arrange his travels if it is truly advised that he be present during the interview.

I understand, due to my research, that it's not required, but it seems a lot of approved Filipinos on this forum have been accompanied by their US citizen fiances... and this has me slightly worried about him not being there during my interview, if ever.

I also know that the Philippines is a high-fraud country when it comes to these things, but I believe we have enough evidence to prove our relationship is legitimate, since we have been physically together for 3 years in the USA (we had a relationship while I was residing there for graduate studies), and only been long distance for a little less than 2 years (and even during this period, we've visited each other several times). Both of us have also met each other's families in our hometowns (we have many pictures to prove this) and even our parents have met each other in Florida during a family vacation. I was hoping that that would be enough proof and that he won't have to attend the interview.

Would be great to know what everyone here thinks, especially those who have had the experience of attending an interview without their US fiance(e) present.

No need for the USC to be there, majority do not attend.

I went and my wife felt much more at ease. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of watching how the Embassy works from this side of the glass. Would recommend it to everyone. BUT, it's not necessary as many do fine without him there. If you had an iffy case could put you over to the approval side with him there.
