Oh looks like I spoke too soon! Fiance went by Fedex this morning in Cairo and they said they have NO RECORD OF MY PACKAGE! Of course I immediately called Fedex in the US and was told as far as their records show, the package IS there!

The agent put a trace on it and someone will call me back in 2 hours!!! I am sooo mad!!! I think I could go into orbit now. :diablo::diablo:

Looks into her crystal ball and sees a very near trip to Egypt, where she HAND CARRIES the documents! :crying::crying:

OH NO! Your nerves are probably beyond frayed . Let's hope these lames get this mess straightened out PRONTO!! What we go through for the sake of love, eh?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yeah that is what happened to me too. That's why I think they have some slippery fingers in that Fedex office. If it is any consolation you'll get your money back but for me that didn't help since the things I sent were sentimental. :(

OK,Fedex agent just called me back and said that they spoke to the Cairo location and they said it is there and no one came by for it??????? #######??????? and it is there for pick-up. Fiance is headed back down there right now, to try again!

At this point, I just hope,no pray, he can get it. My next question to Fedex will be what the hell was my $68 for if he has to hunt it down and go through all these changes? Nevermind there was NO ATTEMPT at delivery and the liars never called. I mean I could have just shipped it on an airplane and had him go pick it up if he has to do all the leg work anyway. I am just livid for myself and for my fiance who actually has to go in-person and deal with these shenanigans.

Yep, it is the Egyptian shuffle . . . I am sure that Fedex hears this and doesn't know what to do from this end!!

I am lucky that I never lost anything because these couriers are the ones that I trust more than the regular mail!!! I know that things have been lost that way because I sent a lot of cards at one point and a few never made it!! So I don't trust that way either.

Hand-delivery works everytime!!! I am lucky that I have someone that goes to Egypt on a regular basis so I can send along things if needed . . . like a couple of things just took off for Egypt yesterday (I wish I was with them, but there you go). Of course, every time I go, I am carrying things for delivery and things come back with me too!

Calm down, Jodo :)

My husband lives in BFE (literally)....a farming town. He got his Fedex I sent, no prob. Fedex makes mistakes even delivering here in the states. Couriers aren't perfect.

Agreed. And they'll locate it. This is just life dealing with Egypt. NOTHING goes smoothly. I do understand that frustration. I went through it with a personal package from the US when I was in Egypt. We didn't experience any difficulties with documents however. Sit tight. They'll find it. We had to make 3 trips to get that package. LOL

I'm glad it FINALLY got into your fiance's hands. It took long enough for this mess to clear up .
