I'm filing for k1 visa but the last time we seen each other was sept 2014 and i just found a permanent job recently thats why this the only good time we could file coz i will have income but see it says you can only file the k1 if you seen each other two years from filing the petition? Will it be a problem in our case the last time we seen each other was september year 2014.. We've been together 6 years i've been visiting phils is just that that the most recent i visited him

You are still within the 2 year window if you file within the next 3 months, but I would definitely recommend another visit with the case is processing.

As long as you file before September you should be OK but it's pushing it. It's possible the CO may want to see something more recent. Philippines is a high risk country so burden of proof may be higher.

Thank u so much for your time to respond.

It's been so easy to get a k1 from the Philippines... Lately they aren't even asking for the i134.

You are still within the two year window, file the I-129F before September and all will be good.

you will have to meet again before the interview to fulfill that 2 year window

That information is inaccurate. Please review the Form I-129F instructions:

You may file this petition if you are a U.S. citizen and:

  1. You and your fiancé(e):

    a. Intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé's admission to United States and you are both free to marry; b. Have met in person within 2 years before filing this petition,

REF: Page 1, Form I-129F instructions, https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf (emphasis added)

Good luck on your immigration journey.

This is inaccurate information and misleading.

The 2-year window leads up to the date the initial I-129F petition is postmarked / received by USCIS.

While it is encouraged to visit again and / or be present for the interview, the September 2014 meeting meets I-129F guidelines for filing.

I will recommend rapidvisa.com to you. .. they will help you get everything accurate and get your papers right.

This is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) site. Generally, if your case is straight-forward there is no need to use other such sites. Thousands of people have successfully navigated through the immigration process using the information contained on this site.

YMMV.
