Hi,

My mother petitioned for me sister, now my sister application is approved.

Since my mother never worked in her life. Therefore I am going to file affadvit of support for my sister. I make enough money to support her. But since I file joint income tax return with my wife. We have decided to jointly sponsor to my sister.

My question is about the yearly income. I am just not sure which amount I should put as my yearly income.

I have last three years W-2, I also have IRS tax transcripts for last three years. As well as my last three years returns.

Remember I have filed my last three years returns with my wife jointly. Also me and my wife both are filing I-864A (each of us filing separate as per INS requirment)

So I am just confuse which amount should I put as my yearly income. Which box amount will be yearly income? Or will our AGI for last three years will be our yearly income for both of us.

Any help will be very helpful.

Your mom is still primary sponsor, even if she makes no money, and will file a I-864.

You will also file a I-864, and your wife will file a I-864A.

Thanks, Yes, I know My mom will file a I-864, and my wife and I will need to file I-864A.

I am just confused about yearly income, which box from my W-2, or my tax return transcript I will need to mentioned on my wife and my I-864A
