Hi I filed petition for my 7 years old son last January 2016 and Im a Green card holder but I got email from NVC that I should wait until visa number become available which is more than years of waiting. Is there any way I can bring my 7 years old child here immediately without waiting years ? Thank you

When you become a citizen you can update that USCIS...this WILL help proceed quicker. Till then NO

You should not have filed, your husband should have filed the petition for your son, completed the I-130 for an IR-2 visa. This process takes roughly a year from petition to visa issuance.

I know I totally messed up all my plans, its been 7 months now since I filed and nothing happen yet. I already booked him a flight to come with us back here in USA on November but it seems too impossible. I miss my son so much. :crying:

Thank you, that means I have to pay another $440? How can I withdraw my petiton?

Please tell me what should I do now? should I call USCIS to change my petition?

Yes that means another fee. You write a letter telling USCIS to cancel that petition and mail to USCIS, at the address where your NOA came from.

You can't change your existing petition, can only cancel it and start over.

Thing to know is what is the PD that is being served now.

Having your husband start a new petition will be faster
