as my wife is from saskatoon and she is scheduled for an interview on july 28

My Visa was just issued (This morning!) so I'll hopefully be hearing from the courier this soon. I'll let you know where I get sent!

So after driving all morning and day i drove round trip to get my package. I just got home. You get a white purolator package that you are allowed to open. Inside it has your passport which has a sticker on it and you also have the sealed brown envelope that you arent allowed to open. There is also a couple generic pages on how to get your SSN and what items you can bring and etc .... the only thing that purolator asked for was my tracking number and my drivers license. There is also another $165 fee that is discussed in our package that suggests paying online before getting to the border. That fee is mandatory for them to ever mail you your green card later on

Oh dear lord. Do they allow just a plain photo ID over a drivers license? And what was the e-mail address/how soon did you get the e-mail after your visa said issued on the CEAC website? (if you know).

I'm sure they allow any photo id .

My Interview was June 21 ....

My status went ISSUED on June 22 and below it said it was undergoing necessary processing.

My status went ISSUED on June 27 where below it said it was doing final processing and would be within 5 days

i got the email from purolator on June 28th with the tracking number, and it was received at the Purolator pick up office the next day (June 29th) .

what does it say in the paragraph under ISSUED ? at first mine said something like. Your visa is undergoing necessary administrative processing , etc etc ...... That's when they are actually sending it through the mail centre and creating the postage slips and thats when you can start to expect your email from purolator.

Until you get the second notice that i talked about i dont think you can expect an email .

It's been at the 5 day one! But it's a holiday so I won't freak out until monday! I hope. Lol.

They won't be at work on Monday either: Montreal Consulate closes on Canadian and US holidays, so closed for Canada Day and for Independence Day (4th of July).

Try not to lose your mind! nothing will happen until Tuesday. I got my ISSUED on a Friday, but didn't get courier notification until Monday.

I'm trying very hard not to lose my mind and going, "Okay! Gives me time to set things up and get packed and plan things." Not to mention that the link they say to go to if you haven't heard anything for 5 days is broken (on both).

But deep breaths, fingers crossed because I now have an August 16th date for a wedding with things paid in full (whoo!).

I still haven't heard anything about my visa. It's pretty worrying and I plan on trying to find a phone number tomorrow. But I'm okay with having to go to Calgary to pick it up. I just planned on flying out from there to a straight flight to Orlando.

We called the purolator today and they said they would forward it to the one near him? So that's different.

Oh that's great! the whole "drive/fly 1000 km to the specified Purolator location" thing was really cheesing me off on everyone's behalf.
