So quick question.. but is anyone else having issues opening up https://ais.usvisa-info.com/? It just started happening this week for me (obviously it worked before, as I finished my interview last week). Fiance can visit it but I suddenly can't.

Edit* And if our case hasn't been issued (or put into processing, we're still in the 'ready' part, apparently) can we update it to home delivery? This thing is making me nervous about having to drive/fly to somewhere.

I'm not having any issues on either of my laptops. Maybe just try cleaning out your browser's cache and temporary files .

I'm not sure about the updating delivery address part. I believe that i saw on one of the letters that we only had until the morning of our interview day to update our delivery location ? Maybe it said that on the Interview registration confirmation page ? I have still yet to get an email saying my package was shipped and haven't gotten a reply from the consulate either confirming if it was being sent out with purolator or canada post and if it was coming to my home address. I'm sure today i'll hear something.

ok so all bad news .... Here is my conversation with the consulate . and yes they DID switch over to purolator already.

Me: "so i was just calling to ask about the courrier email and my package delivery

Call Center: "they will email you telling you your package is available for pickup at your selected location"

Me: " i wasn't able to select a pickup location because you changed courriers after my interview and i already paid for home shipping"

Call Center: "oh ok then sir , well then in that case they should be choosing the office nearest to you"

me: "So i will for sure get an email from purolator ? because when i paid for home shipping it said i would get something sent in a text message to my phone"

Call Center: "yes they will for sure send an email and then once they do you will have 5 days to pick it up"

me: "ok so you can't tell me where its going and you can't tell me when it will be there , and you can't give me a tracking number , but once its there i will get an email and then i only have the 4 days after that to get it ?"

Call Center: "yes sir sorry for the inconvenience but unfortunately thats how it works"

So to sum things up. I guess if you have yet to have your interview somewhere their site lets you choose which of the 21 offices they send it to ? and if you already had your interview you just guess and hope they actually send it to the nearest big city .

If you paid for home shipping they aren't sure how its going to work but the consulate "should" be contacting us to reimburse that money.

Whether you live 5 miles away or 500 miles away , from the very scarce list of pickup locations, you have to drop your life and make an overnight trip within the 4 days after you receive your email you must pick it up .

I know i live in a city with 3 Purolator Offices so i don't live in the "Booney's" or anything. There is no reason why they should not be sending packages to the office nearest to everyone's home address for pickup. Costs the exact same price to send here as it does to send anywhere else in my province.

not impressed at all.

You know, this process actually upsets me and doesn't impress me either. I can't drive, I've never needed to learn how (although had planned on it once moving). Why can't they send it to the ones we have in the city and not just the ones on the list? Inconvenient isn't even covering this at the moment. It's expensive and needless. Why not give us the option of using fedex if we pay for it?

(Also would you happen to have their number?)

Well this is going to be interesting! I just hit administrating process today, so usually that means within a week I'd be getting it. The closest one is in Calgary.. and it happens to be the Stampede week. I wonder if I'll even be able to get flights out? What happens if I can't get a flight and can't pick it up within the four days?

I seriously doubt you'd need to fly or drive that far of a distance! There might be a partner place they can use. Is there no Purolator place at all in SK?

There's actually three of them in Saskatoon according to google! But they aren't on the list at all and so far it seems like they'll just be sending it to the places on that list. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (and will let people know what happens) when they change it to ready and I get the e-mail to go pick it up.

You can find the list here. It doesn't look like they've updated it, as mine still says Canada Post too. On their main webpage (before you login) it does have an update about the situation and then a link to the list.

Omg I just found the list. WTFFFF why are there like 6 locations in just Quebec, and none in SK or MB! Also none in Newfoundland or PEI. Luckily there is one in Dartmouth not far from me. I wish they could send your visa to my place cause I would pick it up for you and mail it!

Yeah there is no way around it. I called the consulate and they won't do anything to ship to home with purolator. Obviously they could care less..... i called purolator and they can't forward it to a home address either. We're stuck figuring things out. It should be sent to the Pickup location from that list that is closest to me. In my case its Vaughan ontario and its 5hr drive away from me.

I'm also wondering what will happen if they manage to avoid a strike, or if there is one and it's over pretty quickly. How long will it take them to switch back? It's a bad situation already, but it'll be even worse if there's no strike and they've already handed things over to Purolator because people will have to travel for no reason (or wait even longer while things get transferred back). My interview is only on July 20th and I'm hoping all of this gets figured out before then. If not, I'll have to try to a) find someone to drive me the 4 hours to Moncton, or b) spent around $200 to rent a car and drive myself. My fiance and I were talking about it last night and he said that, worst case scenario, he'd drive the 20 hours here and then we'd go to Moncton the day after he arrived, but the 5 day limit makes that pretty impossible.

What a mess. I feel awful for everyone who's going to have to travel crazy distances because of this.
