Need help in answering question regarding citizenship...

I was not born in the USA I got married 30 years ago in the states and I received my green card through marriage and then certificate of naturalization. Now, which one do I answer:

a) If a U.S . citizen through naturalization, give certificate of Naturalization number_________

b) If a U.S . citizen through parent(s) or marriage, give Certificate of Citizenship number_______

My certificate states Certificate of Naturalization.

Thanks!

Now reading again it seems b) as u r citizen through marriage ? Sorry

Someone with same situation should comment to help you

I think you still right...just found this

Certificates of Citizenship and Naturalization both serve as proof of U.S. citizenship, but the eligibility requirements differ. A Certificate of Citizenship is available to people who were born abroad and automatically acquired or derived U.S. citizenship through birth to or adoption by a U.S. citizen parent or parents (whether U.S. citizens by birth or naturalization), while a Certificate of Naturalization is given to a lawful permanent resident after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

You answered that one yourself also, "I got married 30 years ago in the states and I received my green card through marriage and then certificate of naturalization."

Looking for advice please ...

My fiancé doesn't earn over the poverty line. His mom at the same address is willing to help.

So does this mean I take a I-134 for both of them to my interview or fill out a I-864 and I-864a

Thank you

The I-864 is not used for the K-1 visa. The I-134 is.

You should check out the UK regional forum and what is required for London.

hi

the i864 and i864A is for filing once you are in the US filing for adjustment of status

but for the fiancé visa, the affidavit of support is the i134, so it would be another i134 as your fiancé's joint sponsor
