Don't remember seeing anything about this so....

So today one of the flight scanning sites notified me of a $550 RT ticket from Toronto to Manila 11/24 - 12/8. All other fares have been $1100-1200 although flying from our hometown in Columbus. Toronto is about a 3 hr drive but to save 600+ per ticket might be worth the drive.

My question is since my wife and daughter will be traveling on a Phil passport and carrying GC's, what problems if any can we expect at US-CA border crossing and immigration on the return flight to Toronto from Manila?

I can't believe there won't be some issues. Anyone else flown RT from Canada?

Being they have their green card, minimal issue. My wife and I traveled to Canada when she had her GC, all they did was a verification of the green card, then off we went.

Not too concerned about crossing the boarder either way.

Most concerned about issues re-entering Toronto from Manila.

There is no issue entering Toronto from Manila any more so than driving across the border, they have their green card. All that is needed for entry into Canada in their case is the green card, doesn't matter where they are returning from

So then her GC will be the primary residency document rather than the PI passport?

Her green card removes the requirement for a visa when entering Canada.

As noted in another post Canada has some new rules regarding traveling into Canada by AIR http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp . For driving into Canada the green card is all that is needed.

This will be helpful also: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/multimedia/video/visitcanada/visitcanada.asp

Gotta love this forum ;)
