Only the rich people have the time and power to keep talking about democracy but the rest of people are so busy slaving and made to endure the consequences of decisions made by these people.

Thing about the ''spirit of democracy'' is, that our founders wouldn't have actually approved of a vote system like this. Because it leads to dumb people voting and mob rule, which often concerned them a great deal. That's what many checks and balances were for. We still get dumb people voting, but whatever they decide here at least, can be reigned in a little.

But if we're not careful...

The Urban elites who overwhelming voted remain, are blaming the poor / rural / uneducated / old people / working class for being dumb to vote leave.
