Well and just because a few didn't know what they were voting for doesn't make it big news to me. I'm sure a few of the remain didn't know what they were doing, either. They were probably just afraid of change and want to be one big happy family even though the dad abuses them. Talk about sheeples. Brexiters are much more independent thinkers if you ask me.

All this shows is a lot of voters are stupid, though we can be hopeful that those who googled this didn't vote. We can be realistic and know that isn't the case.

The more attention I pay to politics the more I believe that the average joe without any mandatory and proven level of interest in politics should not be able to vote.

Vehemently disagree that democracies are made better by increasing the number of people who vote, given that time and again we have loads and loads of proof that they have no idea what they are doing when they express an opinion at the ballot box.

Just fix so that only property owners or people that pay taxes can vote . By paying taxes I don't mean pay in 400 per year and get back 5000

Voting can be very powerful. Don't you think keeping people with mental illness or that may be terrorists from voting. I mean surely having guidelines and having a class to make sure people understand civics is not too much to ask. Maybe a background check to make sure they are eligible to vote.

Do we know what the long-term implications will be with this decision? There was a lot of scaremongering on the remain side, were they all true? It is still too early to tell, but it seems clear that there was a lot of information being put out on both sides that may not be true, so if one decided for or against based on untrue information on either side then I would label them uninformed.
