Hello everyone!

I am almost exactly 1 year away from my 90-day ROC window opening and I have this question.

I arrived on K1 in December 2014. A week after my arrival my I was put on the lease of our apartment rental. At that time I signed with my *first name+maiden last name* since we weren't married yet. We got married in January 2015, I changed my name to *first name+married last name*.

In August 2015 we renewed our lease.

On the renewed lease my name was not correct, since it listed me as *first name+maiden last name+married last name* instead of *first name+married last name* (my correct name which is also on my State ID, Green Card, etc.) I asked them to correct it but they said that it will be fine and I should just sign the lease with my *first name+married last name* anyway because it's obvious that I'm the same person. So I signed it with my *first name+married last name*. A month from now we will have to renew the lease again but I will specifically ask them to use my correct name on the August 2016-August 2017 lease.

I am aware that I will have to use both years' lease at ROC as one of the proofs of living at the same address. My question is, will I run into any issue at ROC because the August 2015-August 2016 lease is listing me as *first name+maiden last name+married last name*?

Thanks for answering!

Since USCIS is aware of your maiden and married names, this is a non-issue.

Thanks for answering! Do you think I should include an explanation letter in my future ROC package explaining that this mistake was made by the leasing office of the apartment complex?

For this non-issue? If it gives you peace of mind, I guess. This really is not a problem.

It won't matter, but for your peace of mind, you can include a letter of explanation with your I-751. The adjudicator won't care though.

Thank you both for your help!
