London seems to be speeding up again with I-130s

I filed my I-130 in London on 17th January and have been watching this page...

http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/uscis/i130filing.html

where they list which petitions they are currently processing.

They definitely seem to be speeding up... they were taking 3 months to get to files, but now it's down to 2.5 months. Hope they continue to speed up! My US citizen husband moves to the US in early May, leaving me here in the UK with our three children until my visa is approved, and I don't think I'm going to be very good at this whole single mother lark...

...and now it's slowed down again! The website said that as of 26 March they were processing petitions submitted 10 January. And now it says as of 30 March they were processing petitions submitted...10 January. Way to go!!!

(I'm just peeved because our petition was received 17 January. :angry: )

Hang in there - you are so close now :)

Im just wondering how much of a delay its going to be now that London is accepting applications from 7 countries. Its got to have some sort of affect on the time process. Ive just recently filed so I have a long wait ahead but a wait that is oh so worth it :)

Thanks for the words of support -- much appreciated! I have to say the issue with processing the other countries has passed through my mind more than once recently, and I too am wondering how much (if any) time this is going to add on to the whole process. Best of luck to you too with the journey! (We must be insane, loved up or both to do all of this -- how else could we get through the madness???)

I've been wondering all the same stuff. The way I see it though it's just the I-130 that might have been slowed down - the visa processing itself is all still being done in the other countries isn't it? Or is it?!

The date just means that the oldest they're processing is that day. So on 30 March, even though it still says 10 January, they would have started on more recent ones as well just didn't have 10 Jan ones done yet. :)

I know!!! I was sitting on the bus going home from work, and I decided to check the I-130 page on my Blackberry (pathetic) to see if anything had changed in the hour since I had last checked it obsessively. When I saw that it had changed I started grinning uncontrollably and giggling so much that the woman sitting next to me actually moved seats! A totally amazing Friday the 13th for me, as it also included the last piece of paper to sign so I can finally get my divorce settlement... been divorced for 4 months but still waiting for the money...

Roll on NOA2... :dance::dance:

Thats wonderful news for you! :) Let us know when you get your NOA2! I just got my first NOA on Friday saying that they have received my application and have started processing it. YAY - months to go now for next one but looks like embassy is picking up speed again so fingers crossed.

Great news on the NOA1! So glad to see the cogs at the Embassy have started to groan into life again for us all. Yep, months to go, but just comfort yourself with the thought that this time next year you'll be laughing about all your nerves -- and you'll be in America by then! :thumbs:

My petition (submitted 17th January) has been approved - just got the letter today.

But they spelt my surname wrong :angry:

I guess I'll try to contact them on Monday about it but no idea the best way to go about it. Still good news that we've jumped through the first hoop!
