what's stunning to me is that trump has support. super stunned. i know i had to google to figure what was what, but this sort of ignorance is standard for me as i am a natural born murican. alas, i hold muh prezidents to a higher standard. they should, at minimum, effortlessly pull off the appearance of total intellectual mastery in all things. bush jr was a winner in comparison..

Think of the EU, in its current malstructured form, as a kind of Ponzi Scheme and Britain as the guy who just asked for his money back. The dignity of a united European identity can survive without forcing each into an inappropriately identical monetary, fiscal, political shoe.

Exactly why in my other thread I said having the average joe vote without proving any essential knowledge of the matter is bad for a country.

I also believe brexit and remain voters are equally ignorant just as, on the whole, democrats and republicans are equally ignorant, at least give or take a few percent.

This brexit vote was a strong rebuke against the horrendous immigration policies of the EU and I hope they can learn from it, or else other countries will leave. These people realize, as many of us have, that allowing seemingly unfettered influx of people from garbage countries with antithetical cultures represents a dire threat to the new country. The politicians give weak platitudes and people are tired of them. As long as the status quo continues, we'll see populations swing more away from the establishment.
