I really wonder what's going to happen with pan European companies like Airbus (they manufacture wings in the U.K.) will they move that within the Union (the European one) ?

I tend to think this vote will pave the way for a Scotland independence.

The reporting here (France) seem to say that England and Wales voted to leave and northern Ireland and Scotland to stay. Not really a United kingdom.

Well, perhaps there will be less drunk Brits roaming around southern Europe in the summer if there's a need for Visa /sarcasm

I guess that depends on your perspective. I for one think it is a good day when the people take back control from un-elected bureaucrats that make rules and laws without recourse. The markets will roil not because the UK decided to exit, but due to their aversion to uncertainty. Time will tell, but in my opinion the UK will survive at some level, not sure I can say the same thing about the EU. I wonder what will happen in Germany when this all shakes out and they are left holding the economic bag.

Sounds a lot like the US, then.

This vote in England was highly divisive and today half the country will be in self-satisfied celebration and the other half will clean the streets with their tears.

I am glad they are leaving based on what little I know of the situation, but I hope things work out.

I think for them this vote is at least as big as ours in November. Although I deeply fear Hillary's appointments to the SCOTUS when she wins, in four years we get to try again, whereas this Brexit vote is pretty much it for good.

I am sure the UK is going to be just fine. It is the world's fifth largest economy and nobody is going to be shutting it out. On the contrary other countries in the EU who are being crushed by its rules may take inspiration and do the same thing. Germany will be caught holding the bag.

I am glad to see there are some brexit supporters here besides me...especially ones from the region. This was about democracy and control of your own destiny. It's about a wider perspective than just the corrupt and inept EU zone which is led by unelected leaders. Kudos to the UK for allowing such a momentous event. EU needs UK more than UK needs EU. It's the 'Remain' group that have focused on fear whilst the Brexiters have focused on a brighter future in which Europeans can live and work in harmony in the UK whilst being in control of their own decisions. Congratulations guys!

I believe the U.K. relied (relies) heavily on European money to subsidize its agriculture . Well that money is gone now (I hope anyway, not part of the team, not entitled to it anymore) . The UK taxpayers will foot the bill or not. Depends on the amount of solidarity the UK ppl can show to their farmers.

It's a surprising decision for sure but the Brits are entitled to do what they want with their country. It's a bit sad seeing the 50+ y/o voters tipped the balance towards the leave vote. The younger voters will deal with that long after those voters are gone. But that's what comes with democracy.

I'm curious to see what will happen to the expats. We have lots of British retirees here, they are not happy About it.

The Brexiters leadership want everything in Brussels dismantled. They feel everyone should return to their "own" nation. This decision is bad for trade, bad for the free flow of ideas and bad for everyone's pocketbook except for a few Parisians who will benefit from the focus on Paris as a financial and business center
