I hope it's the right place for this, because it's for the Cr-1 petitions...I would like us to reunite if possible on here and for those who are in the too long waiting process...I consider it's the next step to have guidance with these experience (congressman, etc)....So, i would like to know if anyone has already been in contact with them before the NOA2...and what happened next? I'm really happy for those who are approved, it's quite encouraging to see some action and it really makes my day each time i hear one is approved...But for us...let's say we seem to be in another part of this twilight zone...

I feel your pain. I Have been in the same bote since June of 06. I have contacted my sonator and congressman but all I got was 2 letter, one for the I130 and the other for the I129F. Basically they both stated that weare stuck in security background checks and that we were not going to get an approval untill they were done doing what ever it is they are doing. Sigh~~ The one thing that I can say about contacting my representatives is that at least I started to get touches on both applications after MONTHS of not even one touh. Does any one else have any experince or light they can share?

If you are outside of processing times listed on your service center site, a congressman or senator can check into the status of your petition. The best way to contact them is to download their privacy form on their website, fill it out with your case information, fax it in and call to follow up. But the most they can tell you is your case status i.e. in security checks. Otherwise, they cannot influence the case to move along.

Yes we are at the same boat. We contacted our congressman and she said that our I-130 and I-129f are the right place and being processed. This mornng we contact her and she said nothing to report.

Nothing we can do but wait.

Yuncess, at least you have had your file transffered already. Our I129F has not been transfered out of chicago. For some reason now they transfer the I129Fs out of chicago to CS and then they get approved. Just rest knowing that you are at least a little bit closer to an approval.

Thanks for the input Dip, could you inquire what's next to do from the congressman? either to find out if it's, more precisely, being just stuck in their system of checks, or just the case...When are the cases that's so long (i.e. which types of checks, etc)...of course i try to search more precise infos...I don't think that i have the right words, but just trying to get more deep info about how they proceede...I believe we certainly have some right to know, we paid, we are "customers" as they say, so we have rights right? lol Our background is ours first, then authorizing the others to know more about us...
