I-864 Affadavit of support

Hi guys,

So my case has been in Nebraska for a little over 2months I know the wait will continue, in the mean time I want to gather as much docs as I can so once we get to NVC I have almost everything anyways long story short I have a doubt regarding the Affadavit os support, I will have a joint sponsor my question is can my joint sponsor fill the I864 form now and send it to me or do I have to wait for NVC to send me something I've read that they will send me a bar coded firm and that's the one that has to be filled. Does anybody know?

You can start filling the I-864 out in advance, you don't need to be at the NVC to start it. Obviously you can't send it until your case gets to the NVC but this part (waiting for NOA2) is all about preparation for the next stage to keep it moving.
