Congressional Inquiry Response from USCIS

I filed my I129F back at the end of January this year with NOA1 of Feb. 2nd. I never got an RFE or any update online so I decided to contact my state senator for help last week since i'm almost approaching the 5 month mark. This is the response that they gave the constituent advocate from his office. Should I really expect to wait another 45 days if it's with the adjudication officer or is there any hope that i should see some resolution soon?

Your constituent's case is currently with the adjudication unit pending officer review. The adjudication unit is aware of the congressional interest in this case. The adjudication unit informed us that your constituent should receive a notice of action on this case within 45 days. Please contact us again if the timeframe has expired, and your constituent has not received a notice from USCIS.

I read a note on VJ by a former USCIS employee, where he says cases that are being followed by senators DO receive special attention and even put in a different bin, which makes them go faster.

If within the next 45 days you complete the 5 months wait you can make an inquiry directly through USCIS. If you don't hit the 5 months mark yet, you have no choice but to wait but hopefully you should see some updates (RFE or NOA2) within the next few weeks.
