Advance Parole - Part 7 Separate piece of paper?

I am currently completing form I-131 and have a question regarding part 7 which asks for a separate piece of paper explaining why you qualify. I have read old posts on here (a few years old) and it looks like if filing with AOS you do not need to include this piece of paper. I am hoping someone can confim this for me.

I do not have any trips planned currently but my family is only 2 1/2 hours away and I would like to go visit and have the AP if something ever came up.

Thank you in advance

Amy

You don't need to explain anything to them. I just put "in case of family emergency" and N/A for when I would use the AP. I didn't write anything else or submit a separate piece of paper.

There is no place for you to put that

There is no place that asks for a reason that you're supposed to get to. For date you can put TBD or Unknown

Yes there is in part 4, 1.a. you'really asked for the purpose and in part 3, 1. + 2. the form asks for a date of intended departure.

Adjustment applicants do not fill out Part 4.

OP> There is never a reason or explanation of any kind at all needed for getting AP as an adjustment applicant.

Put the date and length, but still no place to put a reason for trip. It is not required or needed. You will not fill out any part of the form that asks for a reason.
