Passport Renewal thru Consular Outreach Program

Hi! I am going on a Consular Outreach Program to renew my passport this coming July and just want to ask a few questions and a few advise to those whom already gone through this before. I have sent my request/application for an appointment to the embassy's email address (attached all the docs needed in pdf with a copy of my ROM) 2 days ago (June 21st).

In their announcement post, it was stated that the embassy is going to inform the applicants via email if the application is approved. Now my questions are:

1. How long do I wait til they confirm it/ receive an approval?

2. How long will it take for them to process passport renewals? (estimated time)

Like I previously mentioned, any advise regarding this matter is accepted/needed. Thank you so much!! :)

Timeline

Not sure how long with DC, we were out west when we did it so went through the LA consulate, it only took a week or so after we sent in the necessary paperwork before we where scheduled.

I did email the DC consulate regarding Dual Citizenship and got a response within the week.

Consulate in DC will only let you know if you been scheduled 2 weeks prior to the event. They run things in DC very different from other Consulate's.

Yeah, figured as much. I was just curious if they will send a confirmation/approval thru email after sending them a request aside from the announcement they post on their site (appointment schedule). I guess I'll just have to wait for updates. Thanks much Greenbaum! :)
