Exactly. With the MBAs, CPT and OPT that should be straightforward.

However, I'm not certain if they are using their graduate degrees and CPT/OPT accurately.....when the mention working for "church".

The position I was offered at the church was to lead a department within the church. The job role required a lot of management ( aside from many pastoral duties), hence the reason why it was approved as a valid CPT and now OPT. I got an MBA with a concentration in Management.

Not valid when you complete your coursework and on OPT. One is responsible to buy their own insurance and not covered through school/university.

This is true, and even so, the mandatory insurance we had through the University was quite useless.

So should be Employer provided.

I graduated in may. And am now waiting for my OPT card. This means that I had to "quite" my Job until the OPT card gets in. While on CPT I was not able to legally work more than 20HRS a week. I was part time and the organization was not required to purchase insurance. Once my OPT card gets in I will be back, but as a fulltime employee, when I will get insurance .... But we got pregnant in this in between period. Which complicates things.

It doesn't matter that your wife got pregnant in the "in between" period. Insurance must now cover anyone who signs up, regardless of any preexisting conditions. So you won't have trouble getting coverage, and the insurance your job offers is likely to be at least decent. When do you start working?

Here's some good info from the exchange on this issue:
