this is about right. I mailed of my package 01/29 and got the appointment on 02/12.

I had 10 days between the time I got the appt letter and the day of the appt.

However I have read on here where some people only had like 3 days or so, and one person said the other day that the letter actually came to their house and the date on it had already passed.... So I guess it just depends.

I think my hubby's was about 10-14 days. Not long!

Does the biometrics appointment letter give you a means to contact them if you can't make the appointment date they set and you need to reschedule? What options do they give you to reschdule, by phone or by mail? Can you change the appointment date? If you can't make the original date do you just cancel and wait for them to send you a reschedule date?

I think it varies by location, but on the appt letter that I got at the bottom it says:

"REQUEST FOR RESCHEDULING" and there is a box you can check that says:

"Please reschedule my appt. Upon receipt of your request, you will be provided with a new appt notice. Make a copy of this notice for your records, then mail the original with your request to USCIS NASHVILLE........"

I've read on here where other people's appt letters have said that you could go for your appt on any Wednesday after your appt or something like that though, but mine doesnt say anything about that, which leads me to believe that it varies by office...

I received my biometrics appointment letter today - 8 days before the date. I'm delighted because it means I'm getting closer!

I was given about 3 weeks notice, but then again they gave me a wrong address so it was messy to get to my appointment anyway.

Yes I got my letter today for my appt in 5 days a saturday.... and to reschedule mine said exactly what elgringo stated except where to send the letter to... good luck

My husband's appointment was 5 days after we received the letter, but they had sent it with almost two weeks notice. The problem is that the mail wagon is slow in New Mexico!

We received the letter 10 days after we mailed the package and around 5 days after MSC received our case (after being transferred from Chicago).

12 days for me. I had another appointment the same day - dentist - that I rescheduled. I can't see anything being more important than the appointments to make it legal for me being here with the love of my life.
