Anyone done walk in biometrics in Boston? (split)

Anyone had experience doing a walk in in the Boston office if you have proof that you'll be traveling on the day of the biometrics?

I did walk in a week early for my biometrics at the Lawrence office when I did the adjustment of status, I took proof I couldn't make the scheduled date. They were awesome, let me do it no problem. There was one other person there and it was a Tuesday or Wednesday I think. If they're not busy, the security officer said they're happy to take early bio people. I'm not sure the Boston office is ever not busy lol so it might be worth the drive to Lawrence. My bio letter came yesterday for an appointment on the 5th July, we are away that day so I'll be going one afternoon next week instead.

For AOS, they let my husband do it a week early with proof that we would be away. I don't think they were thrilled by the idea of walk-ins though.
