I hope you're right, AchrafMira1. Thank you.

The agent did say if nvc doesnt have your case within 30 days to call uscis and a tier2 will find out what the hold up is with the agent that handled your case

Yeah, that's what they said about the i-129f process too. "You can call them after 5 months" and then it took yet another month. :P

It's too early to freak out about this anyway, I'll sit down in the boat for now.

Knowing that our case is not the only one that takes that long makes me feel so much better. It's extremely annoying to wait and see others with the same NOA2 date already got their interview appointment but at least it takes the fear a little bit that our case got lost. Our approvals are probably all sitting in a box together, either waiting for USCIS to send them out or for NVC to look at them

My fiancé is calling USCIS today. Let's see if he's able to get any useful information..

I was also told to file I-825, but I can't seem to find anyone who went through that route. I also asked in the Philippines subforum if they would suggest that, they said No.

I'm not filling for the i825 the fee is $405 which I think is ridiculous so I'm waiting for my 6 week mark which is next Friday to see what they come up with after that..

My NOA2 was approved June 1. That has surpassed their standard 6weeks or 40days.

Last week USCIS Tier2 told us to file for I825. Fiancé called USCIS yesterday. Tier 1 said that there is no available Tier2 at the moment. She asked all the details of our case and gave us a reference number. She mentioned that they have been receiving similar complaints . She actually sounded very concerned like she really wanted to help. She ended by saying that she will make sure that a Tier2 will call us within the day. Unfortunately, no one from USCIS called. So we called USCIS today, Tier2 said they are all busy and they will call us within the month. Oh my goodness!

Meanwhile, I called the NVC today, they told me to call 40 days or 6 weeks after my NOA2. I mentioned that it has actually been exactly 6 weeks. All the NVC lady said, "It's still not here." I asked for suggestions, she simply said "Email a scanned copy of your NOA2 to NVC Research."

This is too frustrating. I do not know where and how we can possibly locate our approved petition. This waiting game continues indefinitely. :crying:

Anyway, someone sent me this link of similar cases in 2014-2015. You might want to check it out. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/526480-noa2-to-nvc-have-you-been-waiting-more-than-a-month/

what is this e-mail all about?

USCIS Has sent me this e-mail Few days ago. after an inquiry has been submitted.

I don't really understand why they have put my case of hold for security check while my case been approved Already!!!!??

Any members with similar case situation like mine?

Any help would be Appreciate it :)

On July 6, 2016, you contacted USCIS to request an expedited review of your case. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.

Regrettably, your case does not meet USCIS guidelines for expedited processing at this time. This is due to a temporary hold having been placed until all required security checks are resolved. Such measures are mandatory for all petitions, irrespective of the benefit sought.

Please note that USCIS recognizes the difficulties caused by such processing delays, as well as the unpleasant circumstances under which the beneficiary now resides.

However, very effort will be made to render a final decision in your case just as soon as all checks are concluded.

In the meantime, your continued patience is very much appreciated.

What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future.

Hi guys! Just an update.

July 11: Reached our 40 days mark

July 13: 6th week since NOA2

July 14: Called USCIS. We gave a reference number from a previous call we made. We were told the Tier 2 are still too busy and it may take 3-5 days before they can call us. We called again, was able to speak to a Tier2. He mentioned that our approved petition is going through a series of security checks.

July 15: Called NVC, they have our case and they have assigned a case number.

Just thought I would share this information with you guys. So I realized that either, 1) Most of the answers they give in USCIS are really just standard answers. They probably have a template of answers. Just a day after they told us our petition is on security check in CSC, NVC in New Hampshire have assigned a case number already. or 2) They are really sending in approved petitions 2-3x a week.

After a lot calls and the tears that immediately followed, we are finally moving. Hope you hear something positive soon.

Congratulations!! That's very excited I think I might cry too whenever it's finally there lol. Did you call NVC early morning or afternoon/nighttime when they told you it has been received? I want to call now but I'm afraid it's too early, with mailing and all that. Trying to be positive because I saw 2 other timelines with same noa2 date as me and they were received by NVC yesterday.

I called early in the morning and around 1pm afternoon and they said not there. Also don't know if I should call the 603-334-0700 number as opposed to the other number for Non immigrant line.

We called USCIS at 9 AM. They said they are still doing their security checks. We called NVC 11AM. They have it and they have assigned a case number. We called 334-0888.

Today I received package 3 from the Amsterdam US Consulate. :dancing:

They gave me an AMS1234567800x case number.

I have not heard anything from the NVC. But I guess that my visa application must be somehow indicated to the consulate.

I am happy though, it means that the NVC has processed my application, even if they never notified me or my fiancee.

The AMS case number is not the NVC case number, right? So do we end up with 3 case numbers? USCIS, NVC and then the Consulate one?

Nope. The nvc one is the same you'll use for the consulate, ams: Amsterdam.
