ok there's one thing i wouldn't try... elephant. thats just wroooooooooooong.

 I'm curious why elephants get the exception. For me it would have to be cats and dogs

In cambodia i ate fried spiders, in Laos i tried the rat and in Vietnam I had the Bat and............wait for it........................DOG!!!!! Not good.

I know people do eat dog and I am open to trying anything local when traveling. BUT my own social conditioning would make it difficult for me to even try dog. Did you know it was dog or did that knowledge come later? :P

I actually went looking for somewhere that would serve dog. Its not all that common even in Vietnam. I had eaten a lot of nasty things and was sort of on a roll. I thought "Whats the nastiest thing i could eat right now" andd i decided it was dog. Hhey, you only do it once!!!!!!!!

The sign at the restaurant had a picture of dog on it!! And a cat!!!

PS. I have since decided that a sphincter, of any sort, is the nastiest thing one could eat.

Dogs in Cambodia aren't regularly taken care of by Vets. Heck, I don't know if there is even Vets down there. I wouldn't suggest eating dogs there though. The dogs have skin diseases, lice, etc... :dead: DIRTY!

During the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, the workers used to eat dogs.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Balut -- But I only tasted the egg white and yellow yolk part. No way I'm eating a duck embryo. The white part is much more 'rubbery' than a chicken egg but the yolk piece tasted about the same.
