I've had lots of unusual foods: sheep's brain, alligator, rattlesnake, chinese thousand year old eggs (bleh!), jellyfish, lots more I'm sure but I can't remember. I'll pretty much try anything once, but I do draw the line at bugs. Also, I wouldn't try horse even though it was common when I was living in Italy...

I like that new bizarre foods show on the Travel channel!

ETA: I've just been reading the previous responses! I've eaten pretty much anything available at a sushi restaurant, so raw sea urchin, octopus, etc. no problem. Yum!

When I was in Kenya, I had chicken gizzards, cow stomach, goat kidney, goat testacles, some strange vine that's supposed to be a stimulant/breath freshener and something similar called miraa which I think is a different plant grown with similar effects more in the east. I nearly ate fried sweet white ants once, but we were busy and had just eaten. I wish I had tasted them now, though! I didn't care for the gizzards but as the guest of honor, I pretty much always had to eat them. They weren't that bad; I just didn't care for the texture. The stomachs were just like sausage and tasted really good, but then again I did have it at a resort where the other beef choice at the buffet was filet mignon (I took both!). The goat kidney and testacles were disgusting--my fiancee thought so too--but other barbequed goat meat is delicious, if you can get a lean cut.

They're unusual where I'm from! Stomach/intestines aren't unusual in some communities in the south. I think that's "chittlins". But damn unusual for me.

Raw fish isn't unusual in a lot of places. Depends on where you're from and what your parents served you growing up. My grandpa used to eat squirrel brains, but that would be pretty unusual to me, but maybe not to him.
