Should I legalise my marriage contract in the embassy?

So I'm at the NVC stage now I just filed my papers and I'm wating for the interview date... so I've heard that I shouldn't send my marriage contract with out taking it to the embassy first to legalise it, I just took it to the foreign ministry, and the state house. They put there stamps there and I send it in my USCIS file and my NVC file. Still everything looks fine but I'm worried that I'll have a problem wan I go to the embassy in tunisia...

The US accepts legal marriages of other countries, so no need to go to the embassy.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
