I have looked at Gary Johnson from the link you put out. I must say there are alot of policies from him that I do like, but some that I just can't stand such as:

• NAFTA benefits New Mexico; jobs lost are those we don't want. (Jan 2001)- Tell that to all the manufacturing jobs sent to Mexico.
• Prescriptions for heroin & methadone at local pharmacy. (Jan 2001)- No prescription for heroin at all, but methadone I can see.
• Allow medical marijuana and needle exchanges. (Jan 2001)- I can see getting it out a pharmacy but not an "exchange"
• No federal funding for stem cell research. (Jan 2012)- Sorry but the benefits out weigh any risk and is being done around the world.
• Mexican immigrants are pursuing same dreams we all have. (Jan 2001)
• Bigger border fence will only produce taller ladders. (Jan 2016)
• Arizona anti-immigrant law leads to racial profiling. (Aug 2012)

So I will keep my eye out on him before the election to make up my mind.

Yup, I did this way back and got the same thing. I just re-did it just to post the rest of it.

This relatively young, largely independent group holds a mix of conservative and liberal views. And while more lean toward the Republican Party than the Democratic Party, Young Outsiders generally express unfavorable opinions of both major parties. They are largely skeptical of activist government, as a substantial majority views government as wasteful and inefficient. Yet many diverge from the two conservative typology groups – Steadfast Conservatives and Business Conservatives – in their strong support for the environment and many liberal social policies(look naitch, they're talking about us).

You don't get more center than this. Out of 8 categories it is the 5th from left. So it leaves 3 on the right and 4 on the left. If you moved one left it would be the other way around. So it's just center with a very slight lean to the right.

Most people do not identify with a view that is fully left or fully right. The majority of people identify with a view that is left/middle or right/middle. The fully left or fully right people are the fringe voters and there aren't nearly as many who identify as such.

I am talking about voting patterns and not necessarily the views, but even with views I consider most people to be, maybe fully was not the right way to phrase it but at least 80% of this way or that. Even in this forum, we have a group that sides on 80%+ of the issues based on the left "playbook", and then the same with the right. Very few people here are like naitch and I where we can have many different opinions that are considered more leftist and then also many that are more to the right, depending on the issue. I know even those in here that I consider left or right might disagree and identify themselves as more center, but I don't see them the same way. Not compared to true centrists anyway.
