Hi guys. So long story short, we received a Request for Evidence letter for our I-751 petition to remove conditional status. A month later (took a while to gather everything) we sent it (overnight delivery) through UPS to the Vermont Service Center. It was delivered on June 6th, 2016. Welp, so far we have received zero notice that our RFE was received by the service center, and our online case status hasn't been updated since we FIRST sent our petition in July 2015. We tried calling USCIS, but they won't even help us until it has been at least 60 days. How are we supposed to even know that they have the package?

My question is, how long did it take before you heard ANYTHING about your RFE? Is there anything we can do? All we have to go on is that the package was delivered and signed for.

Also, my husband's extension letter expires October 22nd. When can we schedule an InfoPass appointment to get an I-551 stamp in his passport?

Thank you so much in advance, we are very nervous that it is lost! :(

Unfortunately, USCIS is a big black hole. You really don't get much information from them especially if it's outside of the processing dates (like 60 days in this case) they list. Most RFE reply receipts by USCIS do not show any status changes and it's the norm rather than the exception. If you have proof they received it and it's been signed for, rest assured they are working on it and you will see a status change sometime soon.

Regarding the i-551 Stamp, I believe you can go there anytime in the same month as your extension is about to expire. You have about 4 months before it expires and most likely your case will be adjudicated before that date.

Thank you so much for that info, I really appreciate it!
