Hello Readysetgo1. I have an update that may be useful to you. I finally got my wife's GC to be processed. We should receive it in the mail within the week.

So, as I mentioned earlier, we'd been waiting over 5 months since my wife first arrived on her I-551 CR1 visa. After many calls and emails, we made no progress.

So last week, we called again, and I got someone on the phone who was awesome and fixed our issue. He said that, when a CR1 first enters, their picture and finger prints should be taken at the immigration desk at the airport. This would serve as the "biometrics" for DHS as all prior encounters were with the embassy overseas. Anyway, he said sometimes, the pictures and/or prints aren't taken at the airport or aren't transferred for whatever reason. He created a new biometrics appointment for my wife and faxed us the appointment letter immediately. Appointment was for 2 days later. Attended the appointment last week where her picture and prints were taken. As of today, our status changed to "Card is being produced".

So call USCIS and ask to have your call escalated to a "second level". If/when you get someone, don't accept "we are working on your case, and we'll let you know". Instead, politely ask if your biometrics transferred from customs/border patrol at the airport. If not, request they create a profile and send you for a biometrics appointment at a nearby Application Support Center.

Hope you find success as we did.

Thanks much work have me tired being peak season and all, but I did receive my card in the mail last week. After basically 5 months and few weeks. Also glad you got an update and hopefully soon the card will be in your possession. Its always helpful to keep up with uscis call them and ask for different time lines so you can always call back.

Same situation almost 90 days no green card for wifey . Should I just wait till 5 months before start calling? When we went to security office even they did not receive anything from usicis

Keep calling them until they open a case on your status and then keep tracking them for updates, they normally give a time period in which they should reply to you for eg 30 days etc. If no response by the 30 days call them back

hello there, I just wanted to ask, has anyone experienced receiving a I-797C notice (mine is payment notice for green card). I received the notice a month after my port of entry. My port of entry was May 7, 2019 and we've already paid the green card beforehand (April of 2019). I was wondering how could this happen.

Chiming in as well.

Interview Date :    2019-05-28

Visa Received :    2019-06-04

Paid Immigrant Fee :    2019-06-04

Payment Received :    2019-06-05
US Entry at JFK :    2019-06-25

78 days later we are still waiting for any movement on the green card. No updates on status since receiving the fee. The case starts with IOE, and there was no physical visa packet submitted at POE (IV Docs in CCD). I suppose all we can do is wait until our 120 days are up and start bugging USCIS. I do appreciate some of the recent advice posted though and will keep it in mind when we contact them!

Anyone else have a date stamp that is in the past? I was under the impression that the date changed to the current date every time you log in. Also when I check through the general website it tells me “visa payment received on june 15th”... but when when I log into my uscis account it says the following update

I get the same status regardless of whether or not I am logged in. That certainly is odd that you have two different statuses.
