Paid Immigration fee: Dec 16, 2022

POE: Columbia, SC Jan 11, 2023

Online status- still shows "fee was received"

NO UPDATE at all. Is there anyone immigrated to SC recently, how is the GC process going on for 'em?

Call USCIS and make an appointment.

Hi everyone, I am new here, and just want to ask is it normally that it has been two weeks since "card is being produced" and nothing has changed?

Visa fee paid: Jan 3, 2023

POE: SEA Jan 21, 2023

My wife's case showed "card is being produced" on Mar 4, 2023, and nothing has changed since then, and my case's still remain visa fee received.

update

Apr 1, 2023 "card is mailed to me"

received card on Apr 2, 2023 ,

However, case status didn't update anything until Apr 4, 2023, it changed to "card is picked up by USPS" while the card has already been delivered two days ago. And case status now still remains picked up by USPS so far. It is tricky, that USCIS case status doesn't actually match with the real time situation.

Has anyone contacted USCIS after not receiving their green card after 90 days? I called them today and they said all they can do is get a tier 2 agent to call back but it can take 30 days.

Tried submitting a non delivered card request online https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc but it won’t let me as says my form number doesn’t match my receipt number type.

I know the stamp in passport is valid for a 1 year but I’ve been having so many problems with employers and getting my driving license without the physical card so really want it asap (I know they should accept the stamp, I go round in endless circles with them and then never head back).

if anyone has been in a similar situation, would appreciate your input as to what you did , thanks !

Did you get your SSN  ? Try visiting DMV at other locations. Also try calling USCIS and keep repeating ' Customer support ' as it works sometimes.

Well... not all of the staff at DMV have the same level of knowing what they do. Like in CA DMV, even <Valid foreign passport stamped “Processed for I-551”>  is listed on the proof of identity document on the website. When I applied for DL, the lady didn't say anything when she saw my visa and I551 stamp, and processed my application,  however, when my wife went to get hers at the same DMV, the guy didn't know what I551 is, and even told us  the visa was expired and couldn't do it, fortunately the lady sitting right next to him told him that because of the stamp, its valid proof for PRC for one year and the guy goes oh really? for sure? then again went back to ask for supervisor for double check...... speechless.

You selected form number "OS155A" and entered your immigrant fee receipt number?

Has anyone had issues with receiving SSN? We entered via Honolulu in early March and have not received SSN for our kids. Hubby and I have cards from a previous stint working in the USA. Is this a red flag that our yellow packet wasn’t processed correctly?

I have the exact same issue! Entered March 3rd or so - so far nothing. I called my local office they didn’t see anything issued yet and told me to call back after April 20th (they said 6-8 weeks is normal 😞)

Direct Consular Filing - Frankfurt

03/14/2016 I-130 Sent

03/15/2016 Check cashed

03/16/2016 I-130 NOA1

04/19/2016 I-130 NOA2 (took two! weeks in the mail)

05/17/2016 Got Case# after emailing the Frankfurt Consulate

Continued application in 2022…

Hey @texcal did you receive your SSN at all? Or any kind of notice in the post? I always thought the SSN came early and the GC could take up to 90 days.

No - so far nothing. We are checking the mail every day but so far nothing.

If you don't get SSN card after 1 month from US entry, go to an SSA office and apply for SSN in person.

No.. I was selecting I-90, also tried a few others but never did OS155A. My bad.

Thank you soooo much!! Submitted it now online so will await their response. Says I can expect a response in 30 days so same as a call back.

"The time when you entered the US, the USCIS will process your SSN together with your OS155a, however, it does not always happen in this case ,  after 3 weeks if you don't receive your SSN, you may check it at local ssa office. If the USCIS has already processed your SSN then ssa can find it in the system and write down the number to you and receiving SSN just matter of time. However, when there's no SSN records in the system, it means USCIS has not done it yet, so you can let the ssa do the SSN application again."

That's how ssa staff told me when I went to check my SSN at local office.
