Has anyone ever gone back to the US with a 551 stamp in their passport and had a problem with boarding? My embassy advised me to contact the airline because sometimes they make problems and won't let you on the plane and I see no reason why. Thanks

No. You would not face any issue as airlines are fully aware of the I-551 stamp and its validity of 12 months after your first stamped entry into the USA. Still you can ask for supervisor if the checking in counter person seems confused.

I see that some wait much longer than others but do most people typically get their GC in 2 months?

It all depends on CBP and if they processed your POE correctly.

GreenCard Fees Paid - June 29, 2022

POE - June 30, 2022 (Denver, Colorado)

SSN received - August 12, 2022 (I had to go to my local Social Security Office because I haven’t received my SSN card even though I applied for it on my DS-260, I went there on August 5, 2022 so it took one week to receive it.)

25 May 2022, Fees paid for green card and it is 85 days without any new update on processing of the card on USCIS status update.

I am a bit worried. could the delay be because I made payment after my entry into the United States?

Did you get the payment confirmation  ? Are you using the new receipt number mentioned on the payment receipt for case tracking ?
