My wife came on CR1 visa in March and we paid the fees for the green card in April 8th. She did not get the green card as of now. We were thinking may be they are delaying it, to give the 10 year card instead of conditional green card. point of entry was after 2 years of marriage. i called USCIS many times and they keep extending the dates... anyone have this kind of problem?

Your wife will get a 10-year GC if POE was after 2 years of marriage, even if she had a CR1 visa.  If she gets a 2-yr GC, that will be a mistake by USCIS and your wife may file an I-90 for replacement to 10-yr GC for free.

Chancy,

thanks for the reply, but do you know why they are taking so long time, its almost 6 months now since we paid the fees, could it be that we paid the fees after arrival? that may have messed up something, but then we have called the USCIS at lease three times and we get the reference case number and they keep saying they will get back in so many days,

We have a weird case.

Fee paid 09/03/21
POE: JFK 09/20/21
Wife received card: 10/18/21

My case is still stuck at Immigration fee payment received on 03/09/2021

The only thing I can see on my myuscis account is that a Submitted on: September 22, 2021 has appeared under my I-551 case, but not in the updates, only with small letters under the Case subject. I don't know if it means anything. My wife had the same date there.

My congressman had to intervene for me after 6 months.  I found out they lost my kids file, so I had to make an appointment for them to recreate the file.  I should now receive the cards in 30 days.

I wonder if they lost my stuff as well. How did it all go down for you?

As I wrote above, we entered 35 days ago. We both received our SSCs in the first week. My wife received her GC after 28 days, my case is still stuck at fee received.

I managed to talk to an agent on live chat, she said she is not authorized to share details. Only thing she said, that my case is still processing and they do not need anything from me at the moment, but it is weird.

Something must have arrived somewhere if I received the SSC I guess? Have your kids received them or they did not receive anything?

Parents entered 45 days ago (POE: IAD), and neither green cards nor SSN cards were received, their statuses are stuck at (Fee received) which was paid before their entry. They even tried submitting a SSN application at local field office, but their applications were rejected. It doesn't seem their information is yet available at the SAVE system.

Do we need to wait for the 90 day mark to contact USCIS about it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

immigrated to the us with my family on F4 family based visa

my mom’s timeline:

entered the us nyc jfk airport & paid fee in mid July

received ssn in a week upon arrival

received green card in 25 days upon arrival

my sister’s timeline:

entered the us nyc jfk airport & paid fee in mid July

received ssn in a week upon arrival

hasn’t received green card yet (it’s been over 100 days

my timeline:

entered the us nyc jfk airport & paid fee in mid/late September

hasn’t received ssn

green card is being produced since Oct 29

so based on my experience it seems pretty random. Good luck to everyone!

btw, does anyone know how to reach local ssn card center? Tried calling multiple times but they either hung up or just kept me waiting forever…

Some updates on my card in case it will help someone. So I called USCIS last week and the agent on phone confirmed, that all seems to be okay and my packet has definitely arrived to USCIS. He also said, that it sometimes happens, that the cards are produced with a big delay compared to each other even if we entered together.

Also today my status has finally changed to Card being produced - 42 days after the entry.

Payed and entered September 23rd and the status is still stuck at payment fee received. I know some people that entered and payed on October 13 and they already got theirs. When I chat with a representative. They always say it's a first come first serve basis. But obviously it's not. Why !!!

Entered on Aug 9th at the Pacific Hwy PoE, so I am at 88 days and mine is stuck at 'Fee Received' as well.

I sent a case status inquiry last week but I haven't heard back. I'm probably going to get on the phone with them on Monday once the 90 days has passed.

I got my SSN after three weeks but I had to go to the Bellingham SSA office and they said that they received no SSN case from DoS or USCIS for me. Had to fill in the SSN application form.

Dont worry. My sister’s gc status changed to being produced after 120 days. I think now the maximum waiting time changed to 120 instead of 90 days. But it will come eventually.
