2 yr. Conditional Green Card Travelling to Canada and passport/gC diff last name

Hi there, I have already a 2yrs Conditional Green Card. I am travelling to Canada by Land this August. do I need to get a Canadian Tourist Visa to visit canada?? when returning to US, is my conditional green cArd will allow me to enter the US after my canada visit? Or do I need to file something before travelling to other country or my GC alone is fine when returning to US.?

And my last name from GC and passport is different, bcoz I get my husbands last name (same sex marriage) since my country of origin law didnt accept yet same same marriage (Philippines). The PH embassy cannot change my passports last name and cannot even give me same person affidavit. Is it going to be a problem when travelling abroad with my passports last name and GC different? What to do?

No, you can visit Canada using your GC. That's also how you'll re-enter the US. However, you need to buy your tickets in the name printed in your passport. Bring your marriage certificate to document the name change.

My passport and green card have different first name and last name.like: JOHN SMITH on passport , JACK JOHNSON on Green card. My global entry is linked to my green card, so I just have to book the tickets using my green card name My passport is endorsed I am also known as *green card name* so far I've travelled on CX, AC , TK, BA, LH,NH, EK with absolutely no problem at all.

Last year I entered Canada ,I was asked to show my green card even though I didn't need a visa, different names but no questions asked.

Meaning OP needs a passport, but having the GC still exempts OP from having to get a visa, which was the original question.

This is so wrong and misleading. You can enter Canada as a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. without a visa. The only thing that changed is for air travel requiring those traveling without a visa to apply for an electronic travel authorization (ETA) prior to travel. It's a similar version of ESTA that the U.S. uses. This rule however doesn't apply to U.S citizens though, and the rule will go in full effect sometime in October this year. OP it looks like you'll be traveling by land and IF that's the case all you need will be your green card to leave and enter the U.S your passport won't be necessary. However, if you're traveling by air to Canada, book the ticket with your names in your passport. You should be fine. You can also carry a copy of your marriage certificate to clear up any issue.
