My wife completed and submitted her I-485 application back on March 15 and she had her biometrics appointment on April 21. In addition, we saw on the uscis.gov My Case Status page that the status was "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" as of May 11. The site said that they would schedule her interview and send her a notice.

However, it is now June 20 and she has yet to receive any additional follow-up in the mail concerning her interview date. I just want to check whether it is normal for it to take this long or if I should call USCIS to follow-up on this?

Depends on how much backlog your local USCIS office has. Some people wait months after that status update before getting an actual interview date.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based main forum to Progress Reports sub-forum - topic is case status ~

Allot of people get that update and don't get there interview for months... All that means is that it's now in your local office in the line for people needing interviews... If your local office is months and months backlogged then it will take months to get an interview letter... Each local office has different back logs... Some office are weeks back logged some are months backlogged some are almost a year back logged... The more backlogged your local is the longer it will take to get an interview since you'll have so many people in front of you Edited by Moslund

There is people who filed months before you and still have that update and it's purely due to there local office is that backlogged... Remember the average processing time for approval is 7months... The fact you filed 3months ago isn't very long at all... Look at the processing time from your local office that will give you and idea... Or search for people filing out the same office at you... Top of the page "immigration timeline" then click "AOS timeline" then select your local office

Thank you guys, I didn't realize that the time between doing the biometric and the interview was that long, since everything seemed to run pretty fast up to this point. Anyway, just wanted to get peace of mind that my application wasn't misplaced or forgotten about.

Moslund, thanks for informing me about the immigration timeline. I used it to get a sense of my estimated K1 visa timeline, but totally forgot about checking it for this AOS process as well. Looks like my office has an average time of about 100 days.
