Trump invoked the success of the Israelis with profiling but I don't think he understands what that is and where it is used. It is not racial profiling but a system of asking questions and observing reactions and has been successful in removing threats from flights originating in Israel. Not sure how that helps in Orlando or San Bernardino

And in both cases the shooters were US citizens who later became "radicalized". How do we profile these citizens to an extent where it prevents these atrocities from happening without intruding on their rights as US citizens?

We used to have to stand and say the Pledge Of Allegiance with our right hand over our heart every morning before school. Part of the pledge had that "one nation under God" line that eventually got it the boot from public schools.

Oh yeah, we did too. But Jesus is not mentioned. Just a monotheistic god that the mooslims can jive with too. But not hindus.

That god line was also added in the '50s and was not part of the original pledge (it was just "one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.") Sometimes I omitted that part, little rebel me. The more you know!
