I don't get this how would I know my case number like for my self that I haven't recieve the new case I only have the reciept number

You wouldn't. You have to know that they have received your case first. I was just stating how I knew they added 2 more case numbers into the system. When I first called only 3 were input, none which were mine. I saw 2 more input, so I called hoping one of those was for my case. Thankfully for me it was. I did the same thing yesterday, however none of them were mine.

They told me 6 weeks, they're telling other people 90 days...

My guess is that these delays are so rare that they don't even have a standard answer for it. I'm sure they will regularize again soon, going back to 2-3 weeks, it's just us June NOA2 approvals who got stuck at USCIS longer.

Your file will probably be there by the end of this week or beggining of the next one, there's already NVC numbers for some NOA2s June 13-14.

My fiancé talked to a Tier2 officer at USCIS yesterday and she said that they send all cases out within 3-5 days after approval and that there should be at NVC already but not in the system yet. She said that NVC is not processing them in order of approval dates and if they tell us they didn't receive them it just means the case is not in their system yet but it could have been in the building for a couple weeks already. But when I called NVC a couple days ago they told me that the waiting is that long because USCIS doesn't send out the petitions :D

I just want my case number!

Whatever that tier 2 is saying is full of it. Mine wasn't sent out to the NVC till July 1st, which is 2 1/2 weeks. None of the blame is on the NVC. It all lies with USCIS. USCIS may try to say that they haven't input it into the system yet, but if that is the case they can still tell you they received it. When they put it into the system is when you get your case number. I hear a ton of different stories from people about what USCIS says about sending petitions. I think that they don't have any set ways. They send it whenever they get to it.

Agreed I've heard 30,60,90 days to send out... Then I heard- well if it was sent it would show up and tier 2 can't even tell you that (I know that's bs because Taylor93 got that info from a tier 2 as to when their petition was sent), etc etc. different answer Everytime they do what they want and I honestly feel like they just don't care it's sitting there. I don't believe it sits at NVC like that I think USCIS hasn't sent it and that's why NVC really says it's not there.

I wish CSC gave notifications like other centers when they send out the case so I could stop calling NVC so much. I also wish CSC wAsnt so slow in sending out petitions.

I just got a USCIS notification via email yesterday stating that 'Post Decision Activity' had been taken on my account, which meant that it had been mailed to NVC. My NOA2 date was June 28th, so I'm going to guess that it should get to NVC by next Tuesday, and I should have a case number (hopefully) by the Friday. So I'm going to call from Tues - Friday to check!

Based on what folks are saying in the other thread (April Filers), it seems like USCIS has implemented these new emails to go out for any NOA2 dates after June 25th. Whether that's in response to the remnants of the April slowdown, or just a new policy they're putting in place remains to be seen. But since I'm in the first batch of the PDA email folks (at least from the CSC), I'll try to keep updating what happens with NVC.

NOA1: April 11th

NOA2: June 28th

USCIS Mailed: July 12th

So it looks like it's taking USCIS about 2 weeks to send the approved cases to NVC, and if it takes ~ one more week to get there and a few days to get a case number and get mailed, this whole post-approval pre-Embassy step is running about 4 weeks (5/6 to get it actually received by your embassy, depending on where you are) -- and will likely get faster in the future.

So I think there's a lot of reason for hope that 90 days (12 weeks) is a really far-out estimate, similar to the five months quoted for the NOA1 -> NOA2 process. They're probably just trying to cover their butts/keep people from ringing their lines off the wall. My general approach has been this: whatever the maximum quoted time (90 days) -- expect half of that (6 weeks), hope for 1/3 of it (4 weeks), but don't freak out until 2/3 of it (60 days/8 weeks) has passed.

I think that may be good evidence that the new email-notifications of mailing are a response to the April slowdown.

FYI: Back in April, there was a major slowdown in K1 Visa Processing across all service centers. From what I understood (and I may be wrong), this was due to the influx of H1B visa applications, as those open annually in April. The slowdown created a backlog of K1 cases that were being processed during that time (esp. for mid March - early April filers) and although things are back up to speed now, there's still some confusion/backlog for those who got caught in that problem area.

I'm sure it's very frustrating, but like others have said -- start calling now, know that at worst you're halfway through a slowed-down timeline, and at best this will all be over in just two short weeks.

I'm sorry, though. :clock:
