My husband had a meeting with the embassy and they said they needed pictures of me with this parents, We didn't have a party after we got married because I had to get on a plane back home. So they sent our case file back and we have heard nothing since that has been almost a year ago. I have been back since we have had our party we have pictures with his family now but still have heard nothing. Can someone help me? I don't know how to get in touch with the embassy to find out what is going on, i have an attorney but he just keeps saying we have to wait.

Contacting the embassy s futile. You said they sent your case back. It's taking 12 to 18 month for USCIS to send you the letter. Call USCIS see if your case is back with them from NVC for review. Your lawyer is right all you ca do is wait for USCIS to send you the NOID/NOIR letter.

Like everyone else said, you need to contact USCIS to see when they received you case back. It will be at least a year from that date. If it takes longer than a year from that date you can get your senator involved to find out what is going on.

I received my letter of what they want me to do, they think my husband doesn't speak English; not sure why they think that, maybe because he asked for an interpreter. They read some emails where he sent me poems, the emails didn't say I wrote this for you...whatever, I have been through our emails and I found an old Skype log (06-08/2010) the is 307 pages long to print and i have 79 pages listing our email correspondence that isn't even counting the Yahoo logs we would have. My question is for the emails, any suggestions on what i should provide? Some from each year (back to 2010) or recent ones? I don't want them to get mad if i send too much and certainly don't want to send too little. Also, does anyone know how to get a Yahoo chat log? I appreciate any help you can offer.

Hello! I wanted to take a minute to answer your question. I worked for USCIS for many years so I am going to sugar coat my answer a bit since I can't see your RFE or your documents or have anything case specific ...

When it comes to an RFE you must provide everything they are asking for OR proof that what they are asking for doesn't exist. You must also do this within the timeframe you've been given. There are NO EXTENSIONS to a RFE. As far the amount of documentation you're providing goes, think about it from the governments prospective. You are proving your evidence of relationship to us. The longer a relationship has existed means more time to establish important characteristics. So providing older emails would be a good idea. However, what documents and how many you provide are going to be up to you. If I can be of help, let me know.
