I have been living apart from my ex since December and divorce will be finalized in a few days. Met my fiancée in January through mutual friends and began a friendship which unexpectedly turned into much more. I went to see him in April and will go again in July for two weeks and September with my daughter at which time we plan on having a church wedding ceremony (won't be legal marriage, just doing ceremony so his family is able to be part of it) I'm wondering if my divorce being so recent will negatively impact our visa application. Could they deny the visa based on judgement that I shouldn't be getting remarried so soon? Or is it more of just a red flag for fraud that we'll need to overcome? This is for Ukraine. And please, I don't need to hear opinions and judgements about getting married again so quickly. nobody here knows the circumstances of my previous marriage and divorce. I just want to know if it'll be a problem for the K1 visa . Will the fact that we'll have a lot of proof that our relationship is real be enough to overcome this or should I wait to apply for a few months? Or just legally get married over there then apply for other visa? I was hoping to apply in July for K1

Do not mention Northern Ireland and you should be fine.

2 important things you need are:

1) Free to marry

2) Having met in the last two years

If you have those two things you are on the right path. As for speed of new relationship thats the discretion of the CO. Have good evidence quality over quantity unless you can have both in one.

It takes around 7 months + to get K1approved interview ect... (Depending on the season) So i would try another trip more time together....

If its possible

Just need to be legally divorced at the time of filing. Provide plenty of documentation that your relationship is valid. Also, would not call your church ceremony a wedding ceremony anywhere on your form submission. I would also avoid photos of you together in the church 'getting married'. Make sure it is definitely not a legal marriage in that country before you do it. You can say you had an engagement party for his friends and family and show photos of everyone together at your non-legal ceremony reception.
