Let's see. Change of address, blocked from all social media, two phones, all the friends I met is now not speaking, block from our visa journey profile. Changed our location from Ghana to France profile, quick divorce from the internet.

Religion went from Christian to Muslin......No, I wouldn't be surprise by anything :secret::sleepy::no:

So sorry

Thank you. I would have not had a problem with the religion, but my mate was always talking about how a Muslim never have respect for women. I think it's more of discovering that people will do anything for citizenship.

He's a bad apple, my husband is Muslim and goes out of his way for me, I've been to Ghana five times now and see the same family and friends I saw in the beginning and chat with them on the phone also, this is so horrible to do to someone I can't imagine, but at the same time I told my husband what I would do to him if we had this kind of issue, sorry to go there but I had to let him know, I could go on and on and say silly things but truthfully karma never fails, and no matter the religion God does not like ugly!

I'm so sorry that happened. I think that was the main purpose of the Thread. These men, and not all, tell you what you want to hear just to get a green card. Sometimes the CO will save you, and you don't realize it is a blessing in disguise. For people to think, having a 15-20 year age difference, a different culture, race and religion, not being able to have kids, all these didn't major issues doesn't matter. You are wrong. It does, and they lie and deceive you to get what they want and then they do this. These men will say and do whatever is necessary to get to "the land of opportunity". My friend who is from Senegal told me that oftentimes it is their dream to come to America, from early childhood. They will do or say anything to try and make that happen.

It takes a really bad person to do this, I'm so sorry it happened to you. God will never fail you. Opening your heart and trusting someone is not wrong. We just need to think with our heads and not with our hearts. My heart breaks for you. Just reading your posts, I see the pain. ?

I really want to thank you guys. It's been hard, but by the grace of God I am getting stronger everyday. I can now understand that as the oldest my mate has the weight of his entire family on his shoulder. I also understand that coming here there are more choices than in Ghana. He had never traveled, he never had anything to call his own.....but he was not ready for marriage. I will always love the man I thought I married, but I know that God is telling me that it's time to let go of the hurt and pain. As long as I continue to put God first, I will be fine.

I know what you say is true. The thing that he didn't understand that I fell in love with the man, not his religion. Yes, I am a Christian, but I have friends who are Muslims, Catholics, Jehovah witness......the point is in any religion or race. There are good and bad people. I just love the ones that tell the truth...I think we can learn from one another. The more you talk to people, the more you learn. I pray that he find that truth in himself. I will say that one of the best experience I had was to travel to Ghana. I will my brother travel there again. Much love to you and your family.

Yes I agree, I'm Christian and he is Muslim, and he let me know that from day one. We have discussed it throughly but I know he wishes that I convert. My fiancé is Gambian and one thing his does make absolutely perfectly clear is that he does require his wife to have children. And I agree the Muslims that I have encountered in the US and from Africa, respect women. Let me not say require, but he does indeed want children. I hope it all works out for you. I'm very happy to see love.

My fiancé is the eldest of his siblings as well, and that can be stressful. But he is also a man, he became educated and he works really hard. He didn't seek out an American to scam. If his intentions were to come to the US to help support his family, why did that have to be accomplished through such deceit. Please don't make excuses for someone that has lied and used you. I know the pain of a relationship ending and feeling used and lied to, it's difficult. I don't mean to pry, but did he just do this right away, or we you together for some time before he just did that.

Just one other thing, just believe that God didn't intend for your to live in pain and hurt. Grieve and move on, you have children and before long you will have the husband that God has intended for you. You won't even have to look, one day he will just appear. God sent ?

Be very careful to not be bamboozled into another scam by so called friends who know a friend and want to hook you up. Please be watchful ! The part 2 sequel to scamming is a vulnerable person just suffering from a breakup thinking they are talking to a shoulder to cry on and next thing they know they are entangled in another web of deceit either by that very person themselves or they want to introduce you to some family member or friend. The yahoo internet boys make their rounds.
