Bringing parent with Alzheimer's

Well it's been a long time since I was on on VJ, most people are probably new so won't remember me, does anyone know if it's possible to bring a parent with Alzheimer's to the US?

Yes it is, Alzheimers is not a reason for the visa to be denied.

However, they may ask for proof that you can afford their health insurance, over and above the normal I-864, because it wil be expensive to care for them and while Obamacare means everyone can access health insurance, it doesn't mean it will be cheap.

No problem with the visa but getting health care for an older person in the USA is very expensive to say the least I wish you all the luck in the world on this journey

It's the medical expenses that you have to worry about. Be prepared for sticker shock.
