Is it better to let NVC know about the case when the priority date is about to active within few months

Hello to all respected members of the this awesome platform

I have a question if any body can guide me in this I am the beneficiary and my priority date is about to be active within 4 months, How to contact NVC is it better to let NVC know about my case whose priority date is about to be active to save time or they will contact us when the date is active, I am confused please help me out thanks to all in advance

I received letter from NVC 7 year back in that they mentioned that your petition approved and case is with them and this is your case no etc....

My father petioned for me and category is F1

nope you have to wait until they contact your dad, if call, they'll only tell you to wait

But I heard that NVC contact the petitioner and beneficiary few months before to save the time which consume while submitting the docs send by beneficiary which NVC demands through checklist. One more thing I wanted to know that the docs which NVC asks to submit do I have to submit their photocopies just like I submit at the first place when USCIS asks me to submit few year back or I have to submit their original copies.

Plus what type of documents NVC usually asks to submit can you enlighten me on this thanks.
