US drivers license as only ID (split topic)

Uh oh...

What if the only ID you have is the passport and US Drivers License?

Do you know what kind of Canada Post service this is so I can look into it? I had issues with Canada Post Signature Required service before because I don't have a ID with my Canadian address.

As of 2016, Canada post handles everything. Make sure you bring a few forms of ID with you when you pick up your passport at the post office. :)

Depends on the post office, if you had problems receiving a package I'd secure some form of ID with your address on it... Provincial Health card/services* card with your photo should be sufficient. They may accept a passport only. It's a post office question, since you have two options, delivery[extra fees] or shipment to a post office lockbox [default]. Signature would 100% be required.

... wait. How can they accept a passport with ID if they are sending you the passport in the package :)

*-depends on the province, I know Newfoundland doesn't have a photo or address on the MCP card, but BC has photo and address on theirs.

Former: TN1, H1B, O1 worker

Currently: FB-1: I-551 approved in MTL 04/04/16. Issued 04/06/16.

I live in Ontario and the use of Ontario Health Card as photo ID is prohibited in Ontario.

I'm hoping that combination of Michigan Drivers License, 1 Year Work Permit, RCMP Finger Printing sheet with my address on it, and pay check stubs with my address on it will be enough to satisfy the people at Canada Post......

Considering that people's relatives have picked up their passports for them, probably not an issue.
