Our interview was great....We went armed with the kitchen sink! The Embassy was a little busy with people traveling this time of year. We had a 9:30 appointment and only wait about 15 minutes to get in. We had a small problem with registering with the document delivery service. They fixed that as we checked in. We were called to the counter to submit all our original documents and relationship proof. My wife told the clerk that it was a little hard to put her husband through the slot in the window....the clerk laughed over that. They did not ask for photos ( which we only took 3 pages).....they didn't want any chat logs ( we only took 2 pages)...We gave them car insurance, storage lease, housing lease, bank statement, and a letter from USAA where my wife added my son as her step-son.

We were called up to the interview window, my wife was sworn in. The CO asked how did we met. He reviewed my tax transcripts, as we only supported the I-864 with assets . He asked why I had so many properties and did I rent them. Then he asked why we got married in Ukraine and have I been here the whole time. He didn't ask for any financial proof...He entered some data on the computer and then said the words "you are approved" you may pick up your documents in 5 days. He returned all of our original documents and all the proofs that we sent NVC. Told us to have a nice day :)

Congratulations! I will be getting married in Kiev this August and file for CR-1 a few weeks later. So I'm not looking forward to the long process & waiting and dealing with all the documents. Anyway, again congratulations!
