Wow didnt know about the Saturday, that may be extremely helpful. We can almost get a free day lol.

Obviously you'll want to confirm if they still have open hours on Saturday. My wife's appointment was a year ago. Also, beware of Colombian holidays (and all offices closed) as they litter the calendar this time of year.

Yes, that's for sure... Every time I turn around, it's another holiday lol.. Then now it is World Cup time when Colombia plays... Time absolutely stops haha

Oh thats good, I feel much better about going to that airport now, at first it was like a nightmare we wanted to avoid at all cost because everyone said that was the worst airport in America. I think I'll be fine, or at least better than I expected.

And yes the CAS for the finger prints definitely work on Saturday. Btw I took one picture where I look "good" and the lady receive it instead of taking it there and look super bad.

Miami is a big airport and get really full sometimes. I've missed flights there with 4 hour connections between slow luggage retrieval and slow customs lines. Good party is you get to hear so many languages it is amazing..

The Miami airport that you talk about is the other one besides FLL? They told me that was much better and to pick that one but I couldn't find a flight to get there from my city.

MIA and FLL are two different airports about 45 minutes from each other. FLL is a walk in the park compared to MIA since MIA can be a nightmare sometimes.

It's pretty big. When I came home from Colombia that was the airport I had to change. They're were 6 fights arriving at similar time. They're were really long lines, especially on the non citizen line.. Dios mio... Then the other gate to get my connection took three or four long moving sidewalks, a long escalator and a mono-rail train as well a few stops to a different terminal. Wow.. Beautiful airport but the first time there had me a bit nervous.

I concur with this. Have had similar experiences in Miami. And it's so big that you simply cannot avoid long distances of walking in btwn gates and immigration and then back to the gates.

Wow sounds like huge huge airport, it would be nice to go there some day. You guys think that the Miami airport is bigger than the Atlanta airport?

It's definately an experience but not the busiest.. Miami is a technically sound airport. Atlanta is probably the biggest and busiest along with Los Angeles (LAX) and Dallas Texas are huge and crazy busy even more than Miami. They are little cities lol. To me they aren't the worst though.. Some smaller than Miami are worse and frustrating like LaGuardia in NY amd Newark on New Jersey can be a mess..

They all really depend on times too. One of the ones are better are Tampa Florida amd I like New Orleans..

Big airports need to require a trip to experience them...

Ohh I checked some good flights going to New Orleans, there's so much to pick in there you have so many cities it's incredible!

My fiance's job require him to drive all over south Carolina up to New York and Boston, it's so cool we'll be able to visit many places.

Atlanta happens to be the busiest airport in the world. Avoid that one at all costs!

New Orleans would be a fun POE. Stay a couple of extra days and have a hurricane and some beignets.

My wife's POE was Dallas. We arrived at 7:30am from Japan and took about 20 minutes to get through immigration.

I flew into MIA once and FLL 3 times last year from Medellin. FLL is small and easy to pass through customs. Each trip was about 100 people in line and the process was completed in 45 to 60 minutes. Miami is ten times bigger, and longer to walk requiring 2 to 3 hours to process.

Spirit airlines baggage policy is $62 round trip for the first checked bag up to 40 pounds (most airlines allow 50 lbs), $52 round trip for a carry on. Personal items are free. Their planes are older, smaller with ugly cloth seats.
