The officer at POE told K1 and K2 are authorized to work and get ssn and driving license by showing entry stamp

repeatedly asked them, cause it seems too good to be true.. Werent we supposed to have EAD three month later?

repeatedly asked them, cause it seems too good to be true.. Werent we supposed to have EAD three month later?

A K visa holder is authorized to work with EAD during the 90 days they are allowed to be in the US, the difficulty to apply for a work permit is that service centers usually take from 45 to 60 days to issue the permit and by the time your fiance gets the EAD those 90 days will be close to expire, plus you need to pay for that permit it costs $380.

A better idea to get marry as soon as possible, work in the adjustment of status packet and wait for the EAD to be approved.
