I repeatedly asked them, cause it seems too good to be true.. Werent we supposed to have EAD three month later?

K1 are authorised to work, EAD is evidence of that.

SSN is the first thing I got.

DL, well that is a State issue.

Timeline

K1 holder CAN apply for EAD, but you would need to pay the filing fee, and it would only be valid until their i94 expires (90 days from entry). It usually takes 90 days to get EAD, so they would get it, just to have it expire or already be expired. So it's pretty much pointless, as they would not be legally allowed to work after I94 expires. That's why people say to wait to file EAD with AOS forms.
